Ryan Day 1
Beginning in 2019, Ryan Day became the 24th and current head football coach at Ohio State University. Then coach Urban Meyer announced his retirement – Dec. 4, 2018 and Day was named to succeed him.
Day is a native of Manchester, NH. From 1998 to 2001, he was a three-year starting quarterback at New Hampshire College, and also played linebacker before he began his coaching career in 2002.
The 2017 season was Day’s first in Columbus as an assistant coach. He was Ohio State’s 2018 nominee for the Broyles Award, which goes annually to the top assistant coach in the country. He earned the honor of Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year in 2019.
In addition to two NFL seasons as a quarterbacks coach, Day has 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, including offensive coordinator positions at several colleges.
