Mick Ronson is famously known as David Bowie's talented lead guitarist and was one of the Spiders from Mars. Mick's first solo album "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" was released in 1974 and my 9" x 12" watercolor is from this album cover photo. He also played piano, sang, and produced music for many famous musicians like Bowie and Lou Reed.
He was rated the #2 guitar player in a Best Guitarist readers poll by Creem magazine, behind Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin in 1974. His long blond hair is a notable characteristic he maintained throughout his musical career, which was cut short when he died at the age of 46 in April 1993. This painting area is 9" x 12" with a 1" white border.
