I painted this 9" x 12" watercolor of Jim Morrison of The Doors in May of 2020.
He is regarded by many as one of the most iconic and influential lead singer frontmen in rock history. He was considered pop culture rebellious at times and was a great American singer, songwriter, and poet. His voice was powerful and globally recognized. The Doors had many top hits and recorded 6 studio albums. One of my favorite songs not played on the radio at the time is "When the Music's Over" from the album Strange Days. Unfortunately, he unexpectedly died July 3, 1971 at age 27 in Paris. This painting area is 9" x 12" with a 1" white border.
