Ian Hunter had been the colorful lead singer of the early 1970's rock band Mott the Hoople and remembered for wearing his dark sunglasses during concerts. Their famous hit at that time was "All the Young Dudes" in collaboration with David Bowie. After 1974, he started an interesting and successful solo career in music.
This particular 9" x 12" watercolor is based on his 1976 released album "All American Alien Boy". His long curly locks and dark sunglasses made this an interesting subject for me. This painting area is 9" x 12" with a 1" white border.
